About Me

I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Database Group at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), under the supervision of Prof. Sibo Wang, since August 2023.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in July 2023.

From July 2025, I spent five months as a visiting student in the Data Systems Group at the University of Waterloo (UWaterloo), working with Prof. Xiao Hu.

My research develops theoretically-grounded algorithms for large-scale data, with emphasis on sampling, indexing, and approximation. I value elegance in algorithms and depth in analysis — theory that tells you not just that something works, but why and when.

I’m also exploring data systems for LLM-based workloads, where new optimization objectives arise: token efficiency, retrieval quality for downstream reasoning, context-aware compression, and more. New problems, same philosophy.

I welcome discussions and collborations on database theory and algorithms, and on principled infrastructure for LLM-integrated systems. If any of the above resonates, I’d love to hear from you.
